DESCRIPTION:The massive increase in enrolments at institutions of higher learning in South Africa resulted in increased diversity in the student population. A diverse classroom not only enriches the learning experiences for all students, but it also prepares them for the world  of  work  and  beyond.  Diversity  further  enhances  students’  cognitive  skills particularly problem solving and critical thinking skills.
<br />This workshop aims to challenge your thinking while exploring the benefits of teaching a diverse group of students. In this session participants will deliberate and debate practical methods of creating a learning environment that ensures all students from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives feel included, heard and valued.
