Deborah Brautigam, renowned author, will present this lecture.
The China-Africa Reporting Project will host renowned author and leading China-Africa expert Deborah Brautigam to present this lecture. Brautigam is a Professor of International Political Economy and Director of the International Development Program and the China Africa Research Initiative at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies. The lecture will be delivered on the eve of the Sixth Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit commencing in Johannesburg on 4 December 2015.

The Siyakhana Initiative for Ecological Health and Food Security works to improve food security, and increase access to nutritious and sustainable grown foods.
The Wits Siyakhana Intiative and the School of Geography, Archeology and Environmental Studies will host a discussion on the challenges that women face in getting access to food, including challenges with HIV/AIDS, where they will share initial findings into their research.
The Siyakhana Initiative works to improve food security, increase access to nutritious and sustainably grown foods, and raise awareness of the impact of ecological health promotion.
