Instructional Design Support

CLTD supports academic staff in their use of ulwazi for learning and teaching as part of the university's blended learning approach. Instructional design support at CLTD provides various opportunities for lecturers to design and develop engaging and interactive online, blended and face-to-face learning interactions. We support lecturers in the exploration, evaluation and implementation of effective educational technologies to enable meaningful learning experiences for students

As part of our offerings we provide support in:

  • Designing and developing courses using best practices to enhance student engagement
  • Guide and support lecturers in developing synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning strategies
  • Train lecturers to harness affordances of educational technologies to improve the learning experiences of students
  • Support faculty with the design and delivery of the newly developed or redesigned courses
  • Support lecturers to explore new and emerging technologies to enhance the learning experience of students
  • Guide lecturers in the thoughtful use and application of the various Learning Management System (LMS) tools to support sound pedagogical teaching and learning approaches
