Self-awareness is having knowledge of yourself and your character. It’s knowing what you feel, who you are, and how this developed over your lifetime. 

Being aware of yourself is the foundation from which you connect to others.

If you don’t know yourself, then you don’t know where to begin when it comes to understanding others and working effectively with them.
