Central Registry

Central Registry is the official repository for the central administration's current or active records. Together with the University Archives and Student Registry it forms part of the Central Records Office.

The basic goal of Central Registry is to facilitate efficient and effective administration by ensuring the protection, accessibility and retrieval of records until their retention value has been met. Thereafter records designated for permanent preservation are transferred to the University Archives, scanned or destroyed in accordance with approved retention schedules.

Access to the holdings of the Central Registry is restricted to University entities only.

Central Registry is located in Room 4015 of Solomon Mahlangu House, the University's main administrative building, situated on the East Campus.
