Wits University celebrates 90 years of excellence in 2012.
Through its staff, students, partners and 130,000 graduates, Wits has made a significant contribution to South Africa and the world as we know it.

Built on strong foundations, Wits is one of the leading higher education institutions in the world today, renowned for its academic and research excellence.

It is one of only three universities from South Africa ranked in three separate international rankings as a leading institution in the world today.

We reflect on our achievements this year, as we lay the groundwork to develop highly specialised forms of knowledge to tackle the challenges of the 21st Century.
