Back in 2013 with bounce 'n bang!

Wits Basketball commenced the year with warm-up friendlies against the men's and women's sides from the University of Lesotho on Sat 16 Feb, following a successful drive in O-Week (4-8 Feb) to register new and existing members.

This year we continue campaigning in the Gauteng USSA Basketball League (against local universities), entering two men's teams - Wits Young Bucks and Wits Horny Bucks - and one women's team, Wits Lady Bucks.

In 2012 the men's first team also participated in the Gauteng Basketball Association (GBA)'s Gauteng Basketball League (GBL).

Wayne Mhlongo and Lebesa Selepa were selected to represent South Africa at the AfroBasketball Champs and the All Africa Games in 2011. Rodney Genga and Lebesa Selepe received Best Scorer and and All Star awards respectively in the BSA National Club Champs.

The Wits Basketball Club also runs an Internal Basketball League (IBL) which is usually played on Friday afternoons/ealry evenings. All teams are welcome to join this league in 2013.
