Research Support Workshops 2017

Welcome to the 2017 academic year and a warm welcome to all new Postgraduates. Kindly see below the 2017 workshop/ writing retreat programme and booking form. We will advertise the workshops usually a week or two before they occur, we will also advertise changes which occur from time to time.

The Postgraduate Affairs Office runs more than 50 research methodology and writing workshops. The workshops are run in conjunction with the Humanities Graduate Centre. Not all workshops are repeated in the second semester. The programme is adjusted according to an analysis of students’ evaluations, suggestions and attendance figures to meet student requests.

The rationale behind the order of the workshop programme is to create a “ladder of learning” which should facilitate growth in each postgraduate student.

Most workshops are offered in the Wartenweiler Library and at the Humanities Graduate Centre, but there are other venues too - please check before you attend.

Please note that Faculties do run their own individualised workshops over and above those offered by the Postgraduate Affairs Office.

If you wish to attend writing retreats, you will greatly benefit from attending the research support workshops first.
