D r Cohen is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the School of Economic and Business Sciences. He received his PhD in Information Systems in 2004 with a focus on IS strategy and planning. His research work is focused on IT in services, and the use and impacts of health information technologies. His work has been published in Information & Management, International Journal of Information Management, Expert Systems with Applications, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Medical Informatics, Electronic Commerce Research, Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Southern African Business Review, South African Computer Journal, South African Journal of Business Management, South African Journal of Economics and Management Science, and Journal of Information Systems Education. His research work also appears in the proceedings of numerous local and international conferences, including: ICIS, ECIS, AMCIS, ACIS, PACIS and GITMA. In 2011, Dr Cohen was Visiting Faculty at the International Centre for Health Innovation at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. Dr Cohen is an NRF rated researcher. He currently serves as Assistant Dean Research in the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management.
