
The European-South African Programme in Tuning for Regional Needs in Higher Education (EU-SATURN) project has opened the first call for applications for all Masters and PhD Categories.
The project will facilitate both student and staff (Academic & Support) mobility to the European Partners, i.e. Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands), University of Ghent (Belgium), Georg-August University Göttingen (Germany), Wroclawska Polytechnic (Poland), University of Valencia (Spain), Uppsala University (Sweden) and University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK).

Erasmus Mundus Action 2 fosters institutional co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and third countries through a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges for studying, teaching, training and research.
The Erasmus Mundus Action 2 network ema2sa ‘Erasmus Mundus Action 2 for South Africa’ is co-ordinated by the University of Leuven. As part of Target Group 2 (non-partner university), South African nationals studying towards a Master’s or PhD at Wits may apply for a mobility scholarship at one of the seven European partner universities:

The scholarship includes a monthly subsistence allowance (EUR1,000 to EUR2,500), a tuition fee waiver, a flight ticket covering one round trip and full insurance coverage (travel, health, accident).

The University of Paris-Sud is inviting students in their final year of their Bachelors' degree in Chemistry or Physics to apply for the SERP-Chem Masters Program for 2013.
The International SERP-Chem Master is a two-year program in Surface, Electro, Radiation and Photo-Chemistry with elements of management, business, innovation, communication and patent law.
The SERP-Chem Master aims at providing students with experimental and theoretical tools in areas of great relevance such as
• Green Chemistry
• Nanomedicine
• Industrial and medicinal use of radiation
• Catalysis and industrial processes
A summer school that aims at developing the students' entrepreneurial skills is part of the Master. Students will attend lectures in at least two different countries, among France, Italy, Portugal and Poland. All the lectures for the course are in English while language courses will also be given.
All students in their final year of Bachelor studies in Chemistry or Physics can apply.
A limited number of Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available to non-European students (which would amount to 1000 euro per month + 4000 euro per year).
The deadline for applications for students to apply for the Eramus Mundus scholarship is 11 January 2013, whereas students who are able to secure their own funding may apply before 15 June 2013.
