Mandela Scholarship Fund - Leiden University, The Netherlands

The Mandela Scholarship Fund is available for South African Exchange and SAP students,  who would like to pursue their studies for 1 semester at Leiden University, The Netherlands.

The scholarship will be awarded for a maximum of 5 months.

Requirements
Students must be:

  • Permanent residents of South Africa

  • Enrolled at a South African University

  • Accepted for a semester program at Leiden University as an exchange or Study Abroad student

  • Willing to upgrade or extend their knowledge in order to make a contribution towards the development of South Africa

  • Committed to returning to South Africa after their study period at Leiden University

 

Scholarship Amount
Exchange students

  • International travel costs: €1000

  • Living allowance: €800 monthly (max. 5 months)

  • Insurance: will be sponsored by AON Student Insurance (www.aonstudentinsurance.com) and arranged by Student and Educational Affairs

 

Study Abroad Students

  • Tuition fee: €6000
  • International travel costs: €1000
  • Living allowance: €800 monthly (max. 5 months)
  • Insurance: will be sponsored by AON Student Insurance  (www.aonstudentinsurance.com) and arranged by Student and Educational Affairs

 

Deadline
Qualified candidates are now invited to apply. The first upcoming deadline is 1 April 2013 for programs starting in September 2013 and February 2014
