Disability Awareness Week 2012

 

The Disability Unit in conjunction with the Disability Awareness Movement, a student society dedicated to disability issues and awareness, will be running a Disability Awareness Week from Monday, 10 September – Friday, 14 September 2012. The Awareness week will comprise of fun activities and games set out to engage the Wits community and educate them about disability. These activities will include: a Blind walking trail; wheel chair races; wheelchair basketball and many more. Additionally there will be an NGO Fair comprising various organizations who work with persons who are differently abled. The Wits Community is invited to participate in the various week-long events and show their support for persons with disabilities.
