JUBILEE HALL OF RESIDENCE

Jubilee Hall is a modern high-rise building located on the East Campus, surrounded by gardens and overlooking the University s original playing fields. Its 350 students enjoy a friendly, supportive environment conducive to study and relaxation. All meals are provided in the residence s own dining hall, adjacent to the main TV lounge. Other amenities include a second TV lounge, two computer mini-labs (one for disabled students), a laundry, a large coffee lounge, tutorial room and a group study area.

MEN S HALLS OF RESIDENCE

"Men s Res" consists of two residences, College House and Dalrymple House, joined by a communal driveway and linking gardens.
The complex houses 400 students and offers a common room with daily newspapers, two television lounges with DSTV, a games room, tuckshop, a laundry and a computer mini-lab. Accommodation varies from single to triple rooms. All rooms have telephones and central heating. Breakfast and dinner are served in the catering centre adjacent to the residence. Lunch arrangements vary according to each student s needs and activities.

SUNNYSIDE HALL OF RESIDENCE

Sunnyside is an attractive Herbert Baker-style building, set in a private wooded garden, on the East Campus.
Housing 195 students around two courtyards, it is the smallest of all the catering residences. Residents enjoy various amenities, including two TV rooms, a laundromat, an intercom/telephone system between student rooms and reception, a games room, a tuckshop, a study hall, a discussion room and a computer room. Social functions take place in the hall or under the Jacaranda trees in the garden.
Meals are served in the catering centre, thirty meters from Sunnyside s front door. The residence is managed by a full-time Assistant Registrar, an Accommodation Officer and two part-time Hall Co-ordinators who live on the premises, as well as an elected student House Committee.
