Corporate Governance and Administration

The Corporate Governance and Administration courses offered by Wits Plus are recognised by ICSA, the international professional body for Corporate Secretaries. 

If you want to study a programme relevant to business that builds upon your working experience and enables you to combine work and study, Wits Plus is for you. 

Wits Plus offers 3 certificates which are fully accredited by Chartered Secretaries South Africa – and international recognition (or Fellow CIBM status) is gained by passing the International Qualifying Board Exam which is handled directly by ICSA.

The three certificates courses are:

Introductory Certificate in Corporate Governance and Administration (NQF Level 6) (ICSA Licentiate)
Intermediate Certificate in Corporate Governance and Administration (NQF Level 6) (ICSA Associate)
Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance and Administration (NQF Level 7) (ICSA Graduate)

Success in all three certificates (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced) gives you access to the four Professional Board examinations (Corporate Administration, Corporate Financial Management, Corporate Governance and Corporate Secretaryship) under the International qualifying scheme of ICSA – and will take you from the status of Licentiate to an Associate and finally an internationally recognised ICSA Graduate by receiving a Professional Advance Qualification:  Governance and Administration.

Is this Certification for you?

If you want or need to become a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) to advance your career, successful completion of one, two or all three certificates will give you the edge.If you need to act in a secretarial capacity (submit company returns, perform certain financial functions and ensure that legal requirements are followed) on behalf of a company, registering for these course will give you the knowledge and skills you require.

Completing all 3 levels of the Corporate Governance and Administration Certificates will take you from the status of Licentiate to an Associate and finally an internationally recognised ICSA Graduate.
