Study Abroad

The Study Abroad Programme at Wits University furthers your opportunity to develop relevant career skills. The outstanding academic history, internaiional nature and diversity of the Wits community offers you an excellent academic and socio-cultural experience. Incoming Exchange or Occasional students are able to study for a semester in specific fields of excellence at the University.

As a Wits student, you are able to study at a Partner University for a semester or an academic year. You will register as per normal at Wits and pay your fees. At the partner institution, you will receive a tuition waiver. You will write exams as per normal and receive a transcript from the partner university. Provided you pass your courses, you will receive credits which will be transfered towards your degree at Wits.
