Description:

Main Purpose:

The Schools Liaison unit, located in the Student Enrolment Centre is looking for a Student Recruitment Officer whose job will be to recruit academically excellent students to the University. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the enrolment marketing strategies of the University through servicing the University’s current feeder schools as well as establishing relations with new target schools within Gauteng, neighbouring provinces and where required, African countries.  He /she will be expected to build relations with various stakeholders within the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit academically able students to the University (within RSA and further afield)
  • Attend selected school-based Career Expos/Evenings and Career Exhibition and  Information Association (CEIA) expos
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and updated information on the Central University database

 

Requirements:

  • Matric with a Degree (or equivalent), majoring in either Marketing or Education.
  • A 3-5 year track record in either a marketing or educational environment which has included administrative or liaison experience at a senior level.
  • Proven computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, databases) coupled with excellent presentation skills as a large part of the job involves presenting to diverse audiences.
  • A valid unendorsed driver’s license as the incumbent would be expected to travel extensively both locally and provincially. He/she would be required to work beyond standard business hours and over some weekends.
