Bursary fund honours Prof. Tobias

The Phillip Vallentine (PV) Tobias Bursary Fund was set up by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Health Sciences student body in honour of Professor Emeritus Phillip Tobias some years ago. The University of the Witwatersrand Foundation has announced that it would gladly receive contributions to this fund in memory of the late Prof. Tobias. The bursary fund supports Faculty of Health Sciences students in a variety of disciplines. The welfare of students was extremely important to Professor Tobias – a sentiment he expressed to the Dean, Professor Ahmed Wadee, in a recent conversation.
