Rally behind Wits teams

The Wits University Football Club is readying itself for an action-packed soccer week when it plays crucial matches in the Premier Soccer League and the University Sports Qualifiers.

Bidvest Wits takes on the Black Leopards in an ABSA Premiership match on Tuesday, the 8^th of May 2012. The Wits ladies and men’s teams are squaring-off against Medunsa on Thursday, the 10^th of May 2012.

The Football Club is appealing to all University staff and students to support the teams and mobilise as many as possible to attend the matches at the Bidvest Stadium.

“Our aim is to have as many passionate supporters and friends as possible. Free tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The tickets can be collected at Sports Admin between 13:00 and 16:30 on Monday, the 7^th of May 2012,” says Dennis Tshabalala, Sports Officer: Football.

The Football Club will also be running a competition for the largest group of supporters to the two match days. Each match will have its own prize. Food and drinks are on sale at the matches.

8 May 2012: Bidvest Wits vs. Black Leopards – Kick-off at 19:30.

10 May 2012: Wits vs. Medunsa – Kick-off for ladies’ match at 18:30; Kick-off for men’s match at 20:30.
