Challenging homophobia and trans-phobia in SA schools

The Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action and the Centre for Education Rights and Transformation are pleased to announce that they will co-host the first Colloquium on Challenging Homophobia and Trans-phobia in South African Schools and Promoting Good Practise. The Colloquium provides an opportunityfor educators, researchers, activists,and policy and public-opinion makersto discuss the scope and impact of homophobia and trans-phobia in education, to present new researchand work-in-progress, and to share information on good practice in policy.

Application Procedure: The registration and abstract submissiondeadline is August 3rd, 2012. Conference organizers will select abstracts on a rollingbasis. Please note that participants are expected to pay their own travel expenses. For the invitation, click here.
