Teaching race

The Wits History Workshop in conjunction with the Apartheid Museum and South African Heritage Association presents a one-day workshop for high school teachers entitled Teaching Race. The keynote speaker is Prof. Zimitri Erasmus. The workshop aims, in a variety of interactive ways, to tackle the question of how race has been and continues to be socially constructed. Part of the workshop will include working through a selection of new sourcs of material relevant to the high school teaching environment.
