Inaugural Lecture: Angela Woodiwiss

Prof. Angela Woodiwiss from the Faculty of Health Sciences will deliver her Inaugural Lecture entitled Functional Implications of a Big Heart: Controversies Resolved? Although the clinical implications of a big heart are not in dispute; controversies still abound regarding the functional implications thereof. In my lecture, I will shed some light on important functional changes (and the mechanisms thereof) which are due to an enlarged heart. These answers are largely based upon conclusions reached in my research conducted over the past 20 years
