WSoE PhD weekend: Research development in education

The Wits School of Education PhD weekend hosts Ms Thabisile Nkambule, a lecturer in the Division of Curriculum Studies at the WSoE. She will present a lecture entitled Research Development in Education: South African Study - 1995-2004. Her PhD thesis A Meta-Analysis of South African Postgraduate Education Research on Literacy and Literacy Education in the first post-Apartheid decade (1995-2004) will be submitted in June 2012. Nkambule completed her Masters at Oslo University, Norway, on Telling their side of the story: teachers’ perspectives on De-racialisation and Integration in Multiracial Schools in South Africa. Her interests include issues in rural education, gender inequity and inequality in South African sports, racialisation of literacy research in South Africa.
