Prestigious public lecture on malaria eradication

The Health Sciences Research Office is hosting a prestigious research public lecture series presented by two renowned malaria research experts.

Prof. Thérèsa Coetzer, Head: Plasmodium Molecular Research Unit, and Red Cell Membrane Research Unit, NHLS and Wits University; and Prof. Maureen Coetzee, DST/NRF South African Research Chair and Director: Malaria Entomology Research Unit, National Institute for Communicable Diseases, NHLS and Wits University; will be presenting the lecture entitled Towards Malaria Eradication - myth or reality?

World-renowned singer, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, will be the special guest on the night. Chaka Chaka is also the President of the Princess of Africa Foundation, Roll Back Malaria and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and a dedicated humanitarian.
