Health and Well-being in the National Development Plan

The School of Public Health is hosting a lunchtime seminar presented by Prof. Jerry Coovadia entitled Health and Well-Being in the National Development Plan. Coovadia is a member of the National Planning Commission and the lead author of the health chapter of the draft National Development Plan. He is a distinguished scholar, paediatrician, human rights activist, educator, researcher, scientist, and author. Coovadia is currently the director of the Maternal, Adolescent and Child Health (MatCH). He has published leading papers on child health and the factors influencing childhood morbidity, mortality and disability.
