
Environmental activist and founder of Food & Trees for Africa, Jeunesse Park, will deliver a lecture entitled Extreme weather events are becoming the new normal.
Park is the South African representative and one of 24 presenters from around the globe participating in Al Gore’s 24 Hours of Reality, a worldwide event to broadcast the reality of climate change. It consists of a new multimedia presentation created by Al Gore and delivered once per hour for 24 hours, representing every time zone around the globe.
Park's lecture is her presentation for 24 Hours of Reality. The multimedia slideshow focuses on how extreme weather events like floods, storms and even fires are linked to climate change, connecting the dots between our changing climate, these extreme weather events and the dire consequences for the planet.
