From astronomy to particle physics and back

The National Institute for Theoretical Physics, and the Centre for Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, are presenting a theory seminar series, entitled: Dark Matter and Milgrom's scaling: from Astronomy to Particle physics and back.

The seminar will by presented by Prof. Djordje Minic from Virginia Tech in the US. In the talk he will introduce the new concept of "Mondian" dark matter which reconciles the cold dark matter paradigm with the phenomenological successes of Milgrom's scaling. He will outline some generic signatures of this new concept in astronomy and in particle physics. He will also emphasize the crucial role of quantum gravity in this proposal.
