The Hypochondriac by Molière, one of the greatest masters of comedy in Western literature, will be performed at the Wits Downstairs Theatre in April.
The play was the last work by the French playwright and was performed for the first time in 1673. Molière died on stage while performing in The Hypochondriac.
The play is about the hold that the medical industry have on us, its patiens, or - if you will - its victims.
