O.R. Tambo Airport, previously known as the Johannesburg International Airport, is the busiest airport in Africa. The airport attends to over 13 million passengers each year and employs about 18000 people to keep the airport with all its associated services running smoothly.
There are numerous shuttle services available which operate between the airport and Wits University and the greater Johannesburg area.
The Gautrain offers an affordable, reliable, quick and safe way to get from the Airport to Park Station or Sandton. Time-tables are available on the Gautrain Website. Gautrain website
Delegates will be expected to make use of the Gautrain to and from the airport at own cost. (Gautrain costs are estimated at R 125.00 one way.) A shuttle service will be provided from the Gautrain Sandton Station to the hotel on the inward trip and from the hotel to the Gautrain Sandton Station on the outward trip.
