OR Tambo International Airport
O.R. Tambo Airport, previously known as the Johannesburg International Airport, is the busiest airport in Africa. The airport attends to over 13 million passengers each year and employs about 18000 people to keep the airport with all its associated services running smoothly.
A new state of the art domestic terminal was opened in 2003 which dramatically increased the airports capacity and facilities. A massive project is also currently underway to cater for the increase in passenger numbers during the 2010 soccer World Cup.
