RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

The Division of Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology is seeking a laboratory research assistant will undertake laboratory and clinical research for staff and assist with postgraduate teaching. This full-time position is contract based for one year with renewal potential.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Research in all aspects of Pharmacology.
• Assistance with clinical and laboratory research.
• Assist with undergraduate and postgraduate student’s research/clinical teaching.
• Administrative duties in the Division.

Requirements:

• BSc Honours / higher degree (preferably in Pharmacology).
• Cell culture experience (preferably malaria) for at least 1 year.
• Research experience with HPLC and drug diffusion apparatus.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis experience.

Preferences:

• In vitro malaria/cell culture research.
• Pharmacology research experience.
