GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for the positions of:
1) Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer in the field of Geotechnical Engineering
2) Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
Qualifications: Applicants should hold a doctorate in an appropriate field, have a proven research record and be able to provide evidence of leadership ability. Experience in teaching at a tertiary level and relevant practical experience would be advantageous. Candidates who hold a masters degree will be considered in exceptional cases for appointment at levels below Senior Lecturer.
Duties: The successful applicants will be expected to teach geotechnical engineering as well as other basic civil engineering topics at undergraduate level, lead a postgraduate coursework programme in the relevant discipline, participate in academic administration and develop a productive research programme.
