
SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER
GENETICS
The School of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB) at the University of the Witwatersrand proudly offers cutting-edge teaching and research across diverse subject areas. The school has three main focus areas, one of which is Genetics & Developmental Biology, where current offerings include gene regulation in pro- and eukaryotes, chromosomes and gene maps and advanced developmental biology.
Qualifications: PhD degree essential. Some post PhD experience in research and teaching advantageous.
Expertise required: A focused research interest to include one or more of the following areas: molecular pro- or eukaryote genetics, genetic disorders, population genetics.
Duties: Teaching all aspects of the discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including associated administration.
