NSTF/BHP Billiton Awards finalists

Eight Wits researchers have been nominated as finalists in the 2014/15 NSTF/BHP Billiton Awards.

 

Professor Sharon Fonn from the School of Public Health: in the category Research Capacity Development over the last 5-10 years by an individual.

Professor Marissa Rollnick, Director of the Marang Centre for Maths and Science Education: in the category Research Capacity Development.

Dr Lisa Claire du Toit, Senior Lecturer and Senior Researcher: Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology: in the category: T W Kambule Award: Emerging researchers.

Professor Andrew Forbes, Wits School of Physics: in the category TW Kambule Award: Research and its outputs over the last 5-10 Years by an individual; and Special Photonics Award.

Professor Penny Moore, Senior Medical Scientist, National Institute for Communicable Diseases: in the category T W Kambule Award: Research and its outputs over the last 5-10 years by an individual.

Professor Beric Skews, Director: Flow Research Unit in the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering: in the category: Over a lifetime by an individual

Professor Robert (Bob) Scholes, Distinguished Professor: in the category: Over a lifetime by an individual.

Professor Helen Rees, Executive Director: Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Research Institute in the category: Over a lifetime by an individual.
