Professor Sharon Fonn will receive an honorary doctorate from the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg later this year.

She is internationally recognised for her research on the public healthcare system, specialising in women’s health, integrated care and high burden diseases.

According to the Swedish institution, honorary doctorates are awarded to those who have played a key role in research or education at Sahlgrenska Academy or who have otherwise promoted progress in the fields that it addresses. The honorary doctorate will be conferred at a ceremony on 16 October 2015.
