The Wits Reproductive Health Institute (WRHI) celebrates its 20th anniversary with a symposium titled: Vaccines, viral haemorrhagic fevers or vascular disease – A health minister’s dilemma.

The Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, will listen to the arguments for different approaches to achieving global health targets in the context of increasingly stretched budgets and resources, and then outline his priorities for the South African health sector.

Speakers include Professor Francois Venter: Deputy Executive Director of the WRHI; Professor Karen Hofman, Director of Priority Cost Effective Lessons for Systems Strengthening; and Dr Neil Cameron, Public Health Specialist in the Western Cape Department of Health and the University of Stellenbosch.
