Wits Weekly

The Wits Weekly is a newsletter that contains the latest Wits News. It is distributed every Wednesday to Wits staff members and friends of the University. To subscribe, send an email with your contact details to wits.news@wits.ac.za

Wits Today

This is a leaflet that provides a quick overview of Wits. It contains the most prominent facts about Wits, its accreditation, research, social leadership activities and key statistics. It is also available in hard copy.

About Wits

This is a corporate publication that provides an overview of the University, its history and traditions, its current activities, as well as its vision for the future. Available in hard copy, it serves as a great introduction for new members of staff, visiting academics and students, and the University’s external stakeholders.

Wits Research Report

Produced in conjunction with the Research Office, this annual report offers a retrospective overview of the University’s research achievements for the year. It makes visible some of the world-class research undertaken at Wits, profiles key academics and researchers and their work and serves as an illustration of the calibre of research undertaken throughout the University. A limited number are available in electronic form on CDs and memory sticks.

Wits90 Supplement

A special supplement designed to coincide with the Wits90 campaign, this 8-page newsletter was carried in The Star in March 2012 in celebration of Wits’ 90 years of excellence. The supplemen extracts some of the University’s key achievements over 90 years. Available in hard copy.

Wits Facts and Figures

An annual leaflet that reflects some of the University’s key statistics including student and staff demographics, research output data and other quick facts. It is also available in hard copy.

Wits Leader

A quarterly publication that reflects excellence at the University. It has a strong research focus but includes information on new senior appointments, thoughtful opinion pieces, a list of famous visitors to Wits and new academic developments. It is available in hard copy and is useful for distribution to key external stakeholders and for inclusion in conference packs, etc.

Why Wits?

A visually exciting eight-panel brochure compiled in conjunction with the Wits International Office, demonstrates some of the key highlights of the University’s academic, research and social leadership activities. It is ideal for international visitors who do not know about Wits and is used for the purposes of international student recruitment. It is available in hard copy.

Wits Places and Spaces

As part of its commitment to advancing the public good, Wits is the curator of some of the world’s most priceless treasures - be they palaeontological, historic, artistic or cultural. This booklet, available in hard copy, captures some of the key places and spaces on campus or in related areas open to the public.

Wits 21^st Century Institutes

The University is embarking on an ambitious programme to establish six 21 st Century mega-institutes in line with its 2022 vision. This publication, available in hard copy, provides an overview of the six institutes, two of which have already been established.
