Wits "IT to Digital" Professional Development Course Scholarships
The LINK Centre, located at the Wits University Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, invites participation in its “IT to digital” professional development course scholarship initiative.
South Africa's BANKSETA, in recognition of the Wits LINK Centre's IT professional development programme running since 2005, is granting scholarships to more than 80 unemployed banking sector IT professionals and digital business practitioners who are accepted into the LINK "IT to Digital" courses.
This "IT to Digital" programme is aimed at professionals who aspire to develop their careers in digital innovation and leadership in banking. The programme gears participants to eventually fill senior and executive management roles in the digital innovation and IT space -- e.g., roles such as IT Executive, IT Director, Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Chief Digital Officer (CDO) -- as well as professionals who work in IT functional teams or in other business divisions.
The courses are offered at NQF Levels 6, 7 and 8, as set out below. Successful graduates from the NQF Level 8 course (with 65% or higher) are eligible to apply for formal Wits University graduate programmes at Master's level via the LINK Centre.
- IT Management for CIO Teams (NQF Level 6): Go to application
- CIO Professional Practice for IT Operations and Management (NQF Level 7): Go to application
