Wits' Commitement to OA

Vice-Chancellor Loyiso Nonqxa formally signed the international Berlin Declaration on Open Access to the Sciences and Humanities at a special ceremony at the SPARC Open Access Seminar on Wits campus on 9 November 2013.  This Declaration commits Wits to following and promoting an Open Access route with regard to scholarly communication.  Wits Senate formally approved its Enabling Strategy on Free and Open Learning Resources in 2010, which promotes open learning resources for teaching purposes.
