This web page is focuses on the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) initiatives in the area of scholarly communications, and specifically on services in support of Wits authors and editors. Although it supports conventional patterns of scholarly communication via subscription-based publications and monographs, Wits has also embraced Open Access scholarly communication as a positive means of contributing to knowledge, development and showcasing its research internationally.
