Celebrate National Arbour Week with us with fun craft activities for the whole family.

Trees of life: Trees, seeds and nature

We have a range of fun and educational activities for primary and nursery school aged children, as well as activities for high school aged learners and adults.

Activities aimed at pre-school and primary school children (but all ages are welcome):
Excavate an archaeological dig and find out how archaeologists find seeds and other treasures, make your own paper, make art from the plants around you, and learn about smelly plants and spices.

For older kids and adults:
Join our sketch-a-tree competition, make leaf creatures, go on a plant treasure hunt, create your own seed jewelry, and find out all you want to know about the plants in our garden with archaeobotanist Dr Chrissie Sievers.

ENQUIRIES: Facebook: @originscentre; tammy.hodgskiss@wits.ac.za; 011 717-4700
