The role of marketing in business is to build brand profiles and persuade people to buy products. Technology, travel, entertainment, services, apps and games - even your favourite musician or sports team - all of these are marketed.

The BCom Marketing will provide you with the skills and knowledge to learn what drives a business, both strategically and creatively. This degree will equip you with a sound understanding of collecting, evaluating and applying the fundamentals of what drives consumer behaviour and how to position a brand to ensure a successful business venture. Marketing can be applied across a broad range of industries and plays a crucial role in providing a link between the business and the customer, and you will gain insight into marketing communication mix strategies to help you grow a business. Marketing encompasses areas such as digital marketing, social media management, sustainable marketing, retail management, services marketing, brand management, consumer psychology, marketing research and contemporary issues in marketing.

Applicants with an APS of 35-37, as well as English Level 5 and Mathematics Level 5, will be wait-listed subject to place availability.

The University has a specific number of places for first year undergraduates, approved by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
