Wits-TUB Urban Lab Interdisciplinary Bilateral Postgraduate Studies Programme Masters

Call for scholarships for South African and Sub-Saharan African Candidates : Deadline 30 June 2017 

Fourtheen fully funded Masters scholarships will be awarded on a competetive basis to South African and Sub-Saharan African Candidates for study ar the University of Witwatersrand starting in January 2018, in collaboration with Technical University Berlin. Only candidates who completed SAQA evaluation will be considered.

Life in the City - Call for proposals

Life in the City: Understanding complexity and rapid change to create better and sustainable livelihoods for the people of Johannesburg

The life in the City project is located in the Wits School of Governance but supports PhD and Postdoctoral studies in any relevant School at Wits University. The deadline for proposals is 30 June 2017. For the full call, click Here

NRF freestanding bursaries for postgraduate studies

NFR freestanding bursaries for postgraduate study

The National Research Foundation (NRF) has made a call for Masters and Doctoral students to apply for bursaries for the 2018 academic year. Applications are open and the deadline is 7 July 2017 for anyone intending to apply for a bursary to study at Wits University. Candiates must apply on the NRF Online submission system at https://nrfsubmission.nrf.ac.za and follow the application process set out in the Application and Funding Guide under 'open calls'. 

The application form will not guide you in some critical areas so it is COMPULSORY to read and follow the respective call guide (click on the + sign to open the guide (under "open  calls") or find in the first field/line of the application). Then register/login - Please ensure that you apply to the correct call (check your eligibility etc.).
