Professor Yosuf "Joe" Veriava

Professor Yosuf “Joe” Veriava (MBBCh 1968, MD honoris causa 2009) has had a long and illustrious medical career at Wits. He spent many years as academic head of the Department of Internal Medicine and played a pivotal role in establishing the Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics. Here he reflects on his remarkable career.
