Guide to the Alumni Relationship Management System

Ask a Question
1. Enter your Login ID/Username, password & click Login (contact us if you ve forgotten your login details)



  • Remember the following important login notes :
    • Both Login ID/Username are case-sensitive.
    • Use the login credentials sent to you by e-mail.
    • If we don t have an e-mail address for you, please use your Alumni Number (without leading zeros) as your Username and your surname in lower case as your initial Password.
    • If you cannot login with these credentials, please send an email to the Alumni Office or contact and Alumni Relations Officer to avoid creating a duplicate record.

2. My Overview is a view of your Wits details (My Record) and enables you to interact with the Alumni Relations Office in a variety of ways using the links and buttons available:

3. Click on the Profile button or link and you will be able to edit or update your personal and contact details, change your login username or select your communication preferences.

4. The Questions button or link allows you to track your queries/interactions with the Alumni Office.



a. Notifications

  • Functionality currently disabled. Allows you to "sign-up" for alerts on changes to answers on the Answers page.

b. Profile

  • Covered previously in point 3.

5. Payments

  • Lets you purchase Alumni Event tickets or WITSReview magazine subscriptions using the integrated, secure payment gateway.



6. Payment History

  • Allows you to view all your past event/subscription purchases.

7. Directory

  • Puts you in touch with fellow classmates and other Witsies. Please note, however, that this service does not put you in direct contact with fellow alumni. Rather, it allows the Alumni Office to act as intermediary.
  • Enter the name and/or surname of the person you d like to contact and click Search.

  • If there is a person in the system with the name entered, those matches will be displayed in a list.

  • Click on the name and write a message you d like the Alumni Relations Office to forward on your behalf. Please include relevant information about yourself, including contact details so that the contacted person may respond directly to you should they so wish.

  • After you click Continue , a confirmation message is displayed.

9. Answers
Search the Alumni knowledge base for answers to questions you may have using keywords or phrases. Click on a relevant result to view the answer. Should an answer not exist to a query you may have, please use the Ask a Question facility to contact the Alumni Relations Office.

10. Ask a Question
Should you not find a satisfactory answer, use this facility to ask the Alumni Relations Office to assist.

  • Note that all the fields marked with a red asterisk must be completed.
  • Please make a selection of Faculty/School & Category to help us route your query more effectively.
  • Attach any required documentation.
  • Click Continue

  • The knowledge base assesses your query and attempts to provide you with a preliminary response. Should any of these responses still not satisfy your query, click Finish Submitting Question and you will get a confirmation that the Alumni Office will reply shortly.
