Counselling for Science Students

The Science Teaching & Learning Centre offer assistance with:

• Choice of courses
• Career guidance
• Option for courses in other Faculties
• Available study opportunities

 We also offer FREE counselling in the following areas:

• Academic difficulties – coping with academic work – getting assistance
• Learning / study skills development
  • time management
  • preparing for a lecture
  • studying with understanding
  • tests and exam techniques
• Maintaining a good academic record/transcript
• Personal issues and difficulties
• Confidential HIV & Aids
• Financial difficulties (assistance with exploration of where to get funding)

(NB: 4 sessions are offered, after which referral to CCDU or relevant service provider)
