Postgraduate Registration for 2013

Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, Bachelor of Science with Honours, Higher Diploma in Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Science

The Faculty of Science preferred date for registration is:

Date:  Wednesday, 16th January 2013
Venue:  Examination Hall, 2nd Floor Central Block, East Campus, WITS
Time: 08:30 – 15:00

Please note:

  • If you cannot come to the preferred registration day you can email a request for registration to science.pg@wits.ac.za.  We will email you a registration form to complete and sign. If you return the registration form with a proof of upfront payment or international clearance certificate we will register you within 48 hours.  An email will be generated to your WITS student email address. 
  • All students can register from 4th January 2013 in the Faculty Office but you are encouraged to attend the registration on the 16th January 2013 in the Examination Hall.

Fees

HOW MUCH IS THE UPFRONT PAYMENT?

Full-Time students pay R8650.00 and part-time students pay R8650 or 50% of total tuition fee (whichever is the lesser amount)

IS THE UPFRONT PAYMENT AN ADDITIONAL FEE?

NO:  The upfront payment fee is credited to your fees account as part payment towards your tuition fees.

WHO MUST PAY?

All students registered at Wits in 2013 must pay the upfront payment:

UNLESS you have:

  • Proof of a BURSARY/SCHOLARSHIP from a Company, Organization or Government/Country; or
  • A POSTGRADUATE MERIT AWARD from Wits; or
  • A SCHOLARSHIP from Wits

HOW DO I PAY?

By any of the following methods:

  • By Credit Card.  This may be done by telephone on (011) 7171541/42/43/44; by faxing the credit card details to (011) 7174918; or you may call in person at the Fees Office, or pay at the registration venue (18 January 2012)
  • Cash or Bank Guaranteed Cheque to the Fees Office (Ground Floor, Senate House)
