Smash-And-Grab Hotspot at M1 South On-ramp from Empire Road
Campus Control would like to warn all Wits staff & Students to be careful of a smash-and-grab-hotspot at the M1 South on-ramp coming from Empire Road. Several staff members have fallen victim to this crime at the intersection, especially at night. Attackers come down the side of the bridge and spot likely victims from above road level. Everyone is urged to keep an eye out for the criminals and as a precaution, keep your belongings in the boot of your car where possible. If you see anything suspicious, call the SAPS on 10111.
