He is currently a geological consultant focusing on issues of natural radioactivity, nuclear waste management and economic geology of the Rare Earth Elements. His research interests (expressed in many peer reviewed publications) are varied and range from the tectonics and stress of South Africa to the petrology of the granulites and to meteorite impact cratering.
