Examinations

Examinations occur in June and November of every year.

Deferred Examinations
Please note that students are required to apply for deferred examinations at the Faculty of Humanities. Please collect the application for deferred assessment form at the faculty office or click here for the form. The form must be returned to the faculty office within 3 days of the examination missed. Once a decision is made, the student will be notified via their i-wits e-mail and it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they have access to their e-mail account. Read more.

 Extra Time
Please note that a student is required to complete a form at the Examinations and Graduation Office (EGO) once his/her application for Extra Time has been assessed and approved at Campus Health. The student will be notified by letter which the student must present to EGO when filling in the Extra Time Form. Click here to download the form. Read more.

Examination Clashes
Please note that in order to accommodate a student with clashes in a special venue, the student is required to complete a form at the Examinations and Graduation Office (EGO). Click here to download the form. Read more.

Examination Results
Online results (mainly for undergraduate degrees) are offered as a service to students and are only available after the November Examination session. June Provisional Results for 2013 will be available on the Department Notice Boards from 08 July 2013 onwards.
