The Discipline of Psychology offers two modules at the first year level, which are introductory courses for more specialised study at the second and third year levels. The module Introduction to Psychology should be completed before Basic Principles of Individual and Group Psychology.
A number of modules are offered at the second year level. Students wanting to major in Psychology must complete Personality and Developmental Psychology and Cognition and Social Psychology, as well as Research Design and Analysis IIA. At the third year level the Discipline offers twelve modules from which students should choose four, leading to either a Psychology Major or an Organisational Psychology Major, depending on the specific modules selected.
Click on each year for detailed descriptions of courses.
* In any given year, only a limited number of combinations of Third Year level modules will be possible. ## A combination of these four modules will comprise an Organisational Psychology major. Any other combination will comprise a Psychology Major.
Please note that the Discipline of Psychology also runs closed service modules for the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment. For information in relation to these courses, please consult the relevant course coordinator.
